VACANCY OF DIRECTOR IN SARDAR SWARAN SINGH NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF RENEWABLE

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India has established Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy (SSS-NIRE). The Institute conducts Research, Design and Development activities in all the areas relating to new and renewable energy sources (especially in bio-energy), energy access in rural areas, capacity building and human resource development in related areas, it also engages in post-doctoral research and research leading to commercialization of the new and renewable energy technologies.

1. Applications in prescribed proforma (available on the websites http://mnr,gov.in and http://ww.w. hire. res. in) are invited from citizens of India for filling up of the post of Director, Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy (SSS-NIRE), Kapurthala, Punjab (Unreserved) through Direct Recruitment/Deputation/Transfer on deputation basis.

Particulars of pay scale, academic qualifications, experience and other requirements of the post are given as under :-

1. Pay scale Rs. 37,400-67,000/- + 10,000/- GP. However, based on the recommendation of the Search-cum-Selection Committee, Rs. 67,000/- the upper limit of the approved pay scale can be offered to a specially deserving candidate.


2. Educational and other Qualifications required for the Post

(a) Essential :-

(i)    Qualifications Doctorate degree in science or Master Degree (First Class) in Engineering/ Technology preferably in Renewable Energy from a recognized University / Institution.

(ii)   Experience Minimum 10 year experiences in case of Doctorate Degree or 15 years for Master's Degree preferably in R&D / Design / Manufacturing 1 Policy Planning in the area of Bio-energy.

(b) Desirable -

(i) Demonstrated achievements in Research, Design and Development Project Execution capabilities in Bio-Energy Systems I materials: (ii) Experience in Management, Planning, Finance, Personnel and Administration and leadership qualities required to motivate and lead a team in an Institute of repute: and (iii) Publications in reputed journals in related areas.

5, Method of Recruitment : Direct Recruitment / Deputation I Transfer on deputation.

In case of recruitment by Transfer I Transfer on deputation: Officers of Central/State Governments/PSUs/Universities/ Research Institutes/ Autonomous Bodies:-

(a)   Persons holding analogous posts on regular basis and fulfilling the criteria and possessing educational qualifications and experience as prescribed in para (4) above.

Or

(b) Officers having 10 years regular service experience in the pay scale of Rs. 37,400 - 67,000/- 8,900/- GP or equivalent IDA Pattern pay scale in PSUs and possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed in pare 4.

Or

(C) Officers having 15 years regular service experience in the pay scale of Rs. 37,400­61,000/- + 8,700/- GP or equivalent IDA Pattern pay scale in PSUs and possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed in para 4.

Period and Rules of deputation: The period of deputation shall be initially for a period of three years which can be extended up to five years. However, persons already on deputation in another ex-cadre post will not be considered.

6.Age Limit

Between 45 and 55 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications.

2. Outstation candidates possessing prescribed academic qualifications and experience etc. for the above posts when called for interview will be paid to and fro fare for the shortest route as admissble under the Central Government Rules.


3.
